Electronic Technologist , College of Engineering

University of Toledo is hiring a Electronic Technologist 2, College of Engineering to support electronic instrumentation for the College of Engineering's instructional laboratories. The technologist sets up, maintains, and repairs lab equipment while training teaching assistants and students on safe operation. The role also coordinates capstone design and research activities and supports supply ordering and prospective-student recruiting events.

• Set up, maintain, and repair electronic and computer instrumentation in instructional laboratories.
• Supervise and coordinate research, capstone design, and course-related lab activities.
• Provide support for courses held in other assigned instructional laboratory spaces.
• Schedule and approve equipment setup, maintenance, relocation, and operation in lab spaces.
• Train teaching assistants and students on laboratory safety and safe equipment operation.
• Work with faculty and staff to order and deliver lab supplies, equipment, and materials.
• Assist with recruiting events for prospective students, including tours and workshops.
• Read and implement circuit schematics and program computer-controlled lab instrumentation.
• Requires a bachelor's degree in electrical or electronics engineering, or five years of related industry experience.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to students, faculty, and non-technical visitors.
