Student Admissions Counselor

University of Toledo is hiring a Student Admissions Counselor 2 to serve as the recruitment lead for an assigned territory or student population within Undergraduate Admission. The counselor researches that territory to plan strategies that attract prospective students and guides individual applicants through the admission process. Building relationships with parents, high school counselors, community college partners, and alumni rounds out the work.

• Lead recruitment for an assigned territory or population, planning strategies to attract students to apply.
• Use data-driven methods to choose which high schools, community colleges, cities, and fairs to recruit at.
• Assist individual students with the admission process.
• Identify prospective students who fit the University of Toledo student profile.
• Build relationships with influencers such as parents, high school counselors, community members, community college partners, and alumni.
• Bachelor's degree and two years of experience in admissions, enrollment management, recruitment, higher education, sales, or marketing.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM platforms used for recruitment and enrollment operations.
• Strong organizational, project management, problem-solving, verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, plus ability to travel.
• Preferred background in adult, dual enrollment, international, military-affiliated, online, or transfer admissions.
• Full-time staff role on an 8:15am to 5:00pm shift, starting at $23.19.
