Psychologist Full Time with Pay Supplements
This hourly position is covered by the OCSEA/AFSCME bargaining unit (union) and is located at the Northwest Behavioral Healthcare Campus, 930 South Detroit Avenue, Toledo, Ohio 43614.
Normal working hours are 8:00 am – 4:30 pm. Pay is at Step 1 of the 1199 Pay Range Schedule (approximately $42.29 /hour) with the opportunity for a pay increase after six months of satisfactory performance and a yearly raise thereafter.
Responsibilities- Provide psychological services to clients at Northwest Ohio Psychiatric Hospital (NOPH); perform assessments including interviewing, administering, scoring, interpreting, and reporting results of psychological tests; provide psychological interventions to individuals and groups, including psychotherapy, behavioral interventions, psychosocial rehabilitation, skills training and family intervention.
- Serve as a liaison to or participate in treatment teams; consult with treatment teams to ensure psychological services meet all client needs; develop treatment plans relevant to psychology services and participate in treatment team meetings as needed.
- Develop programs independently and collaborate with other staff to implement mental health services; create structured and integrated programs such as behavior therapy, psychosocial rehabilitation, and family programs.
- Conduct research as directed or collaborate with other staff on research programs relevant to the facility’s work.
- Serve on committees and work groups as appointed; participate in meetings and the functioning of the psychology department; complete special assignments.
- License to practice psychology issued by the Ohio State Board of Psychology pursuant to Section 4732.12 or 4732.15(A) of the Ohio Revised Code.
- Minimum educational background, relevant experience, and an active disciplinary record and work record as outlined in the full posting.
- Proficiency in behavioral health, medical charting, attention to detail, ethics, and values.
