The University of Toledo is seeking a Pulmonary Function Technologist to perform clinical pulmonary function testing and support respiratory care services.
Job DescriptionThe Pulmonary Function Technologist should have acquired knowledge and preferably 6‑9 months experience in clinical pulmonary function testing. They must be well motivated to work independently with patients on an individual basis, possess good interpersonal skills, and communicate with the best interest of the patient in mind and according to their age. The Technologist must demonstrate clinical application and theoretical knowledge consistent with current literature and accepted practice of the profession, in the principles of cardiopulmonary disease and appropriate treatment over the life span of the patient.
Minimum Qualifications- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) recognized by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
- Current State of Ohio Respiratory Care Board License.
- Certified in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CP).
- Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist (CPFT) or Respiratory Pulmonary Function Technologist (RPFT).
