Radiology Technologist – St. Anne Hospital

Overview

Radiology Technologist – St. Anne Hospital at Mercy Health. New hires eligible for a $7500 sign-on bonus. Mercy Health is a faith-based, patient-focused organization dedicated to compassionate, collaborative, excellent, and respectful care.

As a Radiology Technologist, you will work under the direction of an authorized user to apply diagnostic imaging using ionizing radiation in diagnostic radiology, with a focus on safety and quality of care.

• Obtain patient clinical history and relevant lab work; document and provide information for licensed practitioners.
• Position and immobilize patients to best demonstrate the area of interest while respecting patient comfort and ability.
• Apply radiation protection principles to minimize exposure to patients, self, and others.
• Perform radiographic procedures by selecting and operating imaging equipment and related accessories.
• Verify informed consent and complete pre- and post-procedure documentation.
• Assist licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic and specialized radiography procedures; apply aseptic technique as needed.

• Associates from an ARRT-accredited institute (preferred).

• Certification and Registration with ARRT (required).
• State licensure (preferred, unless required by state).
• BLS Basic Life Support – American Heart Association (required; preferred upon hire, must obtain prior to direct patient care).

• 1 year experience in radiation safety and patient care (preferred).
• Experience with Radiology Information System (preferred).
