Imaging & Radiology – Cath Lab

Position Specific Details

Cath Lab Technician – local candidates preferred ($10 decrease).

36 or 40 hour shifts – 9/10/12 hour shifts with variable start/end times (7/730 – 1700/1800/1930).
Average on‑call schedule: 14 days in a 6‑week period including 2 weekend days (F/S/S).
Floating to St. Anne or Perrysburg Cath Lab if needed.

Minimum 2 years Cath Lab experience required. ARRT certification required; BLS required, ACLS preferred.

Assists with cardiac electrophysiology studies and ablation procedures by calibrating equipment, setting up procedures, prepping patients, monitoring operation, and recording devices. Provides care to patients from adolescent to geriatric.

Maintains an electronically and radio logically safe laboratory environment.

Monitor and assess patient condition, perform calculations for diagnosis and treatment of cardiac abnormalities, recognize normal and abnormal ECG, and monitor data to make quick decisions.

Interact effectively with patients, families, physicians, and other medical personnel.

Calculate drug dosages and administer medication appropriately.

Use all PPE including lead apron and thyroid shield.

Operate and maintain complex electrical equipment and recording devices, assist the physician in the cardiac laboratory and operating room environment.

React quickly under pressure in a stressful environment, work flexible schedules and on call rotation.

Maintain the laboratory/operating room and equipment; manage supplies FIFO; support accurate billing for procedures performed.

Work requires some lifting and positioning of patients.

Education Qualifications – Required

Minimum Education :
Vocational/Technical Degree;
Specialty/Major: RCIS, Radiology Tech and / or accredited Electrophysiology program.

Preferred Education:

4 year/Bachelor’s Degree.
