The Toledo Clinic's Gastroenterology Department, located on Woodley Rd in Toledo, is seeking a full-time RN/Procedure Scheduler. This position will work Monday-Friday (7:30a-4:30p). An active RN license in Ohio is required.

General Summary

Schedules procedures for the physician(s). Provides front office and clinical support in the office.

Works under the supervision of the Assistant Office Manager.

• Consistently arrives at work on time and adheres to regular work schedule.
• Schedules lab work, tests, x-rays, etc. for the patient.
• Completes consent forms with the patient.
• Contacts patients regarding appointment times.
• Completes prior authorizations for procedures.
• Performs front office duties (phones, appointments, patient check out, etc.).
• Performs clinical duties (rooms patients, vitals, assists with exams, etc.).
• Types correspondences, memos, and letters.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

Required:

• Consistently arrives at work in appropriate/professional attire.
• Completes all tasks within established time frame.
• Adheres to all clinic policies and procedures.
• Previous surgery/procedure scheduling experience required or minimum of 2 years medical office experience along with a medical terminology course.
• Excellent organizational skills and patience required.
• Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co-workers as needed.
• Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles.
• Active and appropriate state RN licensure.

• Previous scheduling experience and clinical experience in a medical office.
