The IT Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the company's IT infrastructure, ensuring system reliability, security, and performance across all departments. This role leads cross-functional teams, manages IT projects, and drives continuous improvement in technology operations to support business goals.
Key Responsibilities- Infrastructure Oversight:
Manage and monitor network systems, servers, and hardware/software environments to ensure optimal performance and uptime. - Team Leadership:
Supervise IT support staff, including hiring, training, and performance management. Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture. - Project Management:
Plan and execute IT initiatives, including infrastructure upgrades, system integrations, and application deployments. - Policy & Compliance:
Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and security protocols to ensure compliance with industry standards and internal governance. - Vendor Relations:
Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for procurement, support, and contract management. - Budgeting:
Manage the IT operations budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and strategic investments in technology. - Incident Response:
Lead troubleshooting efforts, disaster recovery planning, and root cause analysis for recurring technical issues. - Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for automation, process optimization, and technology enhancements to improve operational efficiency.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
Experience:
- 7–10 years in IT operations or infrastructure management, preferably in manufacturing or multi-site environments.
- Skills:
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. Proficiency in network architecture, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, and enterprise systems. - Certifications:
ITIL, MCSE, or similar certifications preferred.
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with integration planning and cross-functional collaboration.
- Proven experience with Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Cisco networking, and cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
- Preferred experience with Meraki networking products and Ring Central phone systems.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and production planning tools (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics).
