Financial Controller

Eastman & Smith, a well-established firm recognized for its long standing stability and forward looking vision, is seeking an experienced real estate and business attorney with approximately four years of practice experience to join our Toledo office.

The ideal candidate will bring significant experience in managing complex commercial real estate transactions and be confident overseeing matters from inception through closing with minimal supervision. A background in general business and corporate law is also highly valued.

• Licensed to practice law in Ohio and/or Michigan.
• Strong sense of service to our clients and colleagues.
• Strong legal research background and training.
• Draft, review, and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, commercial leases, financing documents, joint venture agreements, and related real estate contracts.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities.
• Self-awareness about strengths and weaknesses and a willingness to grow and learn.
• Strong sense of professionalism and work ethic.
• High level of organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with clients and colleagues.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
