We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Gage/Quality Technician to support our manufacturing operations and ensure the accuracy and reliability of gages used in automotive manufacturing. The successful candidate will track and manage gages, conduct gage correlation studies, and collaborate with quality engineers to ensure compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and track all gages used in manufacturing, ensuring they are calibrated and functioning correctly.
  • Conduct regular gage calibration and maintain accurate calibration activity records.
  • Perform gage correlation studies to ensure consistency and reliability of measurements across different gages.
  • Collaborate with quality engineers to ensure gages meet all required standards and specifications.
  • Maintain detailed records of gage calibration, maintenance, and correlation studies.
  • Identify and address issues with gages and measurement devices, ensuring minimal downtime in manufacturing operations.
  • Ensure all gages and measurement devices comply with industry standards and regulations.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance accuracy and efficiency of gage management processes.
Requirements
  • Education:

    High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in a related field preferred.
  • Experience:

    Minimum of 2 years in a quality technician role, preferably in automotive manufacturing.
  • Skills:

    Proficiency in using and calibrating various gages and measurement devices; strong understanding of gage correlation studies and quality assurance principles; excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team; good communication skills and ability to collaborate with quality engineers and other team members.
Certifications

Relevant certifications in quality assurance or gage calibration are a plus.

Additional Requirements

Undergo a background check following local laws and regulations and successfully pass a drug screening.

Working Conditions
  • Environment:
    Manufacturing plant with exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures.

    Ability to lift and move gages and equipment as needed.
