Located close to the Michigan/Ohio border, Toledo Tool and Die has diligently served the people of Michigan and Ohio since 1940. The company operates three facilities in the Toledo area and one in Pioneer, Ohio.

Maintenance Technician 1st Shift – full‑time, based in Toledo, Ohio. Regular hours are Monday‑Friday 6:00 am–2:00 pm, with mandatory overtime (daily, weekends, and some holidays).

• Install and maintain production machines and plant equipment, from simple to complex duties.
• Assist with emergency/unscheduled repairs and perform scheduled maintenance during machine service.
• Perform electrical duties, including PLCs, reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics; work with 120 V, 220 V, 480 V and 13.8 kV circuits; install, repair and troubleshoot starters, relays, switches, proximity circuits, variable‑frequency drives, contractors and I/O circuits.
• Perform mechanical tasks – pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to conduct maintenance and service.
• Execute simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
• Carry out fabrication projects such as welding components together.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and adjust equipment.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
• Perform plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
• Operate aerial equipment such as scissor lifts, baskets and booms.
• Use hand and power tools, electric meters and material‑handling equipment.
• Identify faulty operations, defective material and report unusual situations to appropriate supervision.
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics and technical manuals.
• Comply with safety regulations; maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Stop production if unsafe parts or conditions arise.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervision or management.

• High school diploma or GED, and experience in industrial maintenance (or equivalent education and experience).
• Journeyman card or associate degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial maintenance is a plus.
• At least 5 years of progressive industrial experience in electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical and industrial skills.
• Previous experience with Fanuc and Nachi Robots.
• Highly motivated, able to work independently.
• Able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds consistently, and heavier when necessary.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable through company insurance.
• Available for overtime (daily, weekends and holidays).
• Willing and able to have a flexible work schedule based on machine downtime, installation projects, etc.
