About Us
Women's Care Center is the nation's largest pregnancy resource center: uniquely Catholic, results-driven, and committed to running the mission with strong business practices. Founded in South Bend in 1984, we now serve 45,000 women each year through 39 centers in 12 states. Guided by a vision to serve 100,000 women annually by 2032, we're opening two new centers every year to reach more women with compassionate care and the opportunity to choose life.
The Role
We're seeking a highly motivated Development Director to own and deliver fundraising results across the Toledo area. This isn't a traditional desk job. It's a high-impact role with real ownership, variety, flexibility, and accountability. While Women's Care Center has strong national support, Toledo is a new community, so you'll be building the donor base from the ground up.
What You'll Do
- Own fundraising results: Drive fundraising growth, donor engagement, revenue goals, and a healthy pipeline.
- Close major gifts: Build and manage a portfolio of major gift prospects, make confident asks, and close meaningful gifts.
- Lead events: Own strategy, planning, execution, follow-up, and financial success of local events.
- Grow community relationships: Connect with donors, volunteers, churches, businesses, and community leaders.
- Create new opportunities: Identify prospects, open doors, and turn connections into mission investment.
- Stay accountable: Track donor activity, next steps, and progress in Donor Perfect.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of fundraising, sales, or relationship-building experience with a record of results
- A committed Catholic who is passionate about the mission
- Competitive, motivated, and energized by clear goals
- Warm, engaging, and skilled at building trust; someone people enjoy meeting and want to introduce to others
- Entrepreneurial and comfortable owning outcomes
- Highly organized and disciplined with follow-up
Position Details
Full-time, with local travel around Toledo.
