Bowling Green, OH. Relocation is not offered for this role. This position is open to candidates of various backgrounds and experience levels; the role level/title will be chosen based on the candidate match to basic qualifications and experience for this geography.
- Provide current and comprehensive knowledge of Amgen's products and communicate clinical benefits to medical professionals to drive appropriate utilization.
- Lead sales efforts to achieve territory goals by delivering branded messages, conducting planned programs, coordinating with medical education programs, and achieving or exceeding targets through in-person and virtual engagement.
- Develop relationships to service accounts, tailor discussions to customer needs, ensure product access, resolve reimbursement issues, and maintain product contracts.
- Provide feedback on marketing strategy, analyze sales activities, and develop territory plans with the District Manager.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and grow as a Specialty Representative/Senior Specialty Representative.
- Demonstrate passion for Amgen products and uphold brand while serving patients throughout the sales cycle.

We are seeking a motivated sales professional with relevant qualifications.
Basic Qualifications- Specialty Representative:
Bachelor’s Degree - or Associate’s degree with 4 years of Sales experience
- or High school diploma/GED with 6 years of Sales experience
- Senior Specialty Representative:
Bachelor’s Degree with 3 years of sales experience - or Associate degree with 6 years of sales experience
- or High school diploma/GED with 8 years of sales experience
- Sales, marketing and/or clinical experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, diagnostics, healthcare insurance, pharmacy services, medical devices, or medical supplies
- Some experience and/ or pre-graduate sales training and/or proven leadership under pressure for Specialty Representative
- 3+ years experience for Senior Specialty Representative
- Product or hospital sales experience in oncology, cardiology, inflammation, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, neurology, endocrinology, bone health, and related areas
- Advanced influencing and relationship-building skills focused on sales outcomes
- Local market knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration
- Adaptability with core sales competencies
The annual base salary range is state-referenced (Specialty Representative: $91,720-$108,152; Senior Specialty Representative: $121,379-$149,742). Actual salary depends on skills, experience, and qualifications. Amgen offers a Total Rewards Plan including health and welfare, retirement savings, stock-based incentives, time-off, and flexible work arrangements where possible.
