Position OverviewThe Market Account Executive manages relationships with local and regional businesses, protects and grows the revenue base, and identifies new business opportunities with existing and new clients. Success requires deep product knowledge, an understanding of target markets, and a passion for delivering integrated marketing solutions across broadcast, digital and events.
Key Responsibilities- Identify client business needs and create customized marketing solutions that align with client objectives.
- Deliver multi‑platform integrated sales presentations that highlight Cumulus broadcast, digital, and event tactics.
- Negotiate and close revenue‑driven business opportunities that foster long‑term client relationships.
- Represent the full suite of products—station digital assets, internet‑based marketing, social media, streaming, events and specialized programming.
- Manage time to optimize revenue opportunities, client interaction and successful sales agreements.
- Prospect and aggressively pursue new clientele through networking, cold calling, canvassing and referrals to maintain a full pipeline of prospects.
- Follow station and corporate procedures for preparing orders, resolving billing issues and submitting regular reports on sales, pipeline, forecasts and competitive analysis.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, social networking platforms and CRM tools.
- Excellent communication skills and a passion for developing new business relationships.
- Self‑motivated, entrepreneurial spirit and a positive, collaborative attitude.
- High energy and passion for sales, with flexibility, creativity and curiosity.
- Digitally savvy and digitally comfortable with evolving media opportunities.
