Armed Security Officer

Location: Toledo, OH

Job Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday-Friday 1st shift

Certification: OPOTA (required)

Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour

We are currently hiring an experienced Armed Security Officer to join our professional security team in Toledo, Ohio
. This is a weekday, first-shift position ideal for a reliable and disciplined security professional seeking stable, consistent hours.

The Armed Security Officer will be responsible for protecting client property, monitoring for suspicious activity, enforcing site policies, and responding to incidents in a calm and professional manner. This position requires strong situational awareness, excellent communication, and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.

• Conduct routine patrols of assigned premises (interior and exterior)
• Maintain a strong, visible security presence to deter unwanted activity
• Monitor access points and verify authorized personnel
• Respond quickly to alarms, disturbances, and emergencies
• Document all activities, incidents, and observations in detailed daily reports
• Interact professionally with clients, employees, visitors, and law enforcement when necessary
• Enforce site rules, safety standards, and established security protocols
• Remain alert, observant, and prepared at all times while armed

• Current Ohio Armed OPOTA Certification (required)
• Minimum of 1–2 years of armed security experience
• Must own a firearm and full armed‑duty gear (holster, duty belt, and related equipment)
• Reliable transportation to and from the assigned Toledo site
• Clean professional appearance and strong customer‑service skills
• Ability to stand, walk, and remain vigilant for extended periods
• Must pass a comprehensive background check
• High school diploma or equivalent
