Position DetailsAs a Laborer for RAM Construction Services, you will assist in the revitalization and construction of our surrounding areas. A Laborer employee will perform a variety of tasks that aid our skilled trade workers and lead to the completion and success of a project. The following responsibilities and duties are representative of the role.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Perform the set‑up and clean‑up of the job site by having materials ready, prepping the area, taking down staging and any other necessary tasks.
- Direct traffic at or around the job site when required.
- Haul, dig and move materials and equipment.
- Lifting objects or materials weighing 60+ pounds.
- Assist other skilled trade workers (caulking, waterproofing, etc.) in their performance.
- Use hand tools and small power tools; employees must gradually acquire their own hand tools.
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
- Minimum education level:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent. - Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
- Prior construction experience preferred but not required.
Some travel is required to surrounding job sites. RAM will compensate a per diem for travel and overnight stays if applicable.
TechnologySome technology use may be required. If so, the employee will be properly trained on how to use software, equipment, and related tools.
Work EnvironmentEmployees will work in various conditions including seasonal temperatures, high spaces, small spaces, loud and frequent noises, standing/walking for up to 12 hours a day, indoor/outdoor settings, and areas close to traffic.
Following InstructionsAdhere to instructions from superintendents, project managers, and construction plans and blueprints.
CleanlinessMaintain a clean, organized, and hazard‑free work area.
Safety ComplianceFollow all RAM health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe work environment.
Physical Demands- Rarely = less than 10%
- Occasionally = up to 33%
- Frequently = up to 66%
- Continuously = 67% to 100%
