** Maintenance Specialist IV (HVAC and Building Automation)##

* Job Description:
**** Unique Essential Functions
** 1. Responsible for the HVAC controls to maximize efficiency and manage energy use in all building
HVAC systems on both campuses. This position performs in-house technical duties on automated systems which include monitoring, scheduling, programming, diagnostics, troubleshooting,installation, and consultation with designers or engineers during renovation or repairs
This position will train or assist other personnel as needed in use of the automated systems andassist HVAC technician on repairs and diagnostics as needed
2. Responsible for the PM's, diagnostics and repairs of all HVAC-related systems including domesticcold and hot water supplies and attached systems, which can include motor replacement and associated electrical hookups
** Common Essential Functions
** 1. Perform setup and tear-down of events as needed
2. Perform seasonal duties such as snow removal and ice control
3. Maintain and safely operate power equipment such as saws, drills and other power tools
4. Operate as lead employee of a team working with other maintenance specialists
5. Perform maintenance as needed. Work may include light to moderate plumbing, carpentry, lightelectrical, light HVAC (ex. filter replacement, coil cleaning, belt replacement, etc.) and general maintenance.
Work may also include painting, finish work and caulking
6. Perform work on doors relating to installation, function, hardware repair, replacement or modifications
7. Operate all necessary equipment to complete tasks which may include power tools, loaders, dump trucksand other associated tools
8. Perform assigned maintenance and repair tasks in a professional manner and dependable manner following safe work practices and in accordance with national and local codes in the performance of all duties
9. Perform all other maintenance tasks assigned within skill set.
10. Operate heavy equipment such as loaders and dump trucks or ability to learn.
** Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
** 1.) Knowledge of HVAC systems.
2.) Knowledge of Building Automation Systems as it relates to HVAC.
3.) Ability to efficiently and effectively use Building Automation tools for HVAC.
4.) Able to diagnose and repair HVAC systems.
5.) Troubleshooting
6.) Ability to make decisions and implement solutions.
7.) Personable
8.) Ability to communicate with others via written and spoken word.
9.) Ability to work with and around others.

* Minimum Qualifications:
** 1.) High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)2.) Minimum of 4 year's experience with building and facilities HVAC systems which include automation systems
3.) EPA section 608 Technician Universal Certification (refrigerant license)4.) Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record (must be insurable).
