General Purpose of the JobThe WTI Field Resource Foreman oversees safety, efficiency and quality of the WTI field service business. Safety is our primary priority and is embedded in every discussion, meeting and project. As the leader of the WTI crew, the Foreman focuses on safety, crew management and efficient execution of all WTI projects assigned within the region. The Foreman is responsible for delivering timely service to all WTI customers and managing exposure to risks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Conduct daily onsite safety brief before project start with Sales Rep, customer and WTI crew. Inspect surroundings, equipment and tools, identify any safety concerns, complete and submit Daily Hazard Analysis form to Supervisors, and ensure technicians complete Daily Hazard Analysis.
- Ensure all project communication is completed before any WTI project starts. This includes communication with WTI Field Resources Supervisor, Sales Rep, WTI crew and customer/client as needed.
- Efficiently manage projects by controlling crew start/end times, daily productivity, and ensuring tools and materials are available. Complete the project per approved scope or specification after Supervisor issuance.
- Use designated company‑mandated reporting tool to complete end‑of‑day and/or end‑of‑project walk‑through, ensuring workmanship quality and addressing punch list items before leaving the job site.
- Ensure all WTI Field Resources Reps maintain professional appearance and customer interaction while providing services.
- Order, track and monitor inventory; complete quarterly cycle counts and submit reports timely.
- Provide pricing for self‑performing projects over $12,500.
- Submit all proposals over $20,000 to the Supervisor for review and approval before logging and distribution to the Sales Rep.
- Monitor and manage Field Reps; consult with the Supervisor to address work‑related issues and collaborate with HR when necessary.
- Coordinate with the Supervisor to create project schedules.
- Review time reports daily and make necessary corrections with the admin team.
- Attend all appropriate calls, meetings and trainings.
- Perform any other duties or projects assigned by the Supervisor or Regional Business Manager.
- Minimum of five years of experience in the roofing industry.
- Thorough familiarity with built‑up, EPDM, PVC and other low‑slope roofing systems, as well as metal and steep‑slope roofing systems, and how to repair them properly.
- 30‑hour OSHA certification.
- Registered Roof Observer (RRO) preferred but not required.
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to travel out of town, including overnight stays.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work weekends and/or holidays when needed.
- Ability to pass a pre‑employment drug test.
- Ability to read, write and speak English.
