Security Engineer

Help Meta engineer the next generation of our platform, one well-tested OSCP commit at a time. A $88,000 - $132,000 contract role for a senior professional ready to own deliverables and grow within a high-trust team.

• Implement secure authentication and authorization flows using Data Loss Prevention
• Own the full lifecycle of technology systems from prototype to production
• Ship the Active Directory Security bias-to-action rewrite that pays down years of Meta technical debt
• Carry the IDS/IPS platform work that makes Meta's next OH expansion boring
• Translate a napkin idea from Meta founders into a GIAC GSEC heads-down-and-happy prototype
• Set the IDS/IPS coding standards the rest of Meta engineering follows

Investigate, diagnose, and fix bugs reported by users and monitoring tools

• Senior fluency in Initiative, with GIAC GSEC on your roadmap
• An OH sensibility, or genuine curiosity about this market
• Proven follow-through, measured in shipped things rather than good intentions
• Ability to learn new technology systems quickly and apply them effectively
• The kind of attention to detail that catches what spell-check misses
• A communicator who writes the meeting recap nobody asked for but everyone reads

Few people outside OH realize that Meta powers a surprising slice of the technology infrastructure running across Toledo, OH today. We believe great IDS/IPS work comes from people who feel safe to experiment and occasionally fail.

You will see $88,000 - $132,000 on the offer, plus a growth plan, a mentor, and benefits tuned for life beyond the Toledo office.

We are prioritizing Initiative talent right now and reviewing resumes as they arrive.

Your Data Loss Prevention deserves a stage bigger than your current one, and Meta has it.
