Position Summary

This Distribution Center Operations Manager is responsible for leading a direct team of 4 colleagues in our distribution centers. This includes the strategic planning, organizing, directing, controlling and managing the daily activities of the sorting, selection, loading and shipping areas to achieve performance goals and metrics.

In this role, you will plan, organize, schedule, forecast and coordinate work to meet production schedules and operational goals as well as analyze production, quality, and other operational reports, initiating changes, as needed, to ensure a high level of service to store operations.

In addition, you will develop and implement plans, procedures, programs, and strategies to enhance performance, service level, and cost per piece.

The hours for this 1st shift role are 7AM-3PM MST with flexibility and additional overtime as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plans, organizes, schedules, forecasts, and coordinates work to meet production schedules and operational goals
  • Reviews and analyzes production, quality, and other operational reports, and initiates changes, as needed, to ensure a high level of service to store operations
  • Utilizes a variety of reports, summaries, and procedures to project workload and resolve problems that arise
  • Develops and implements plans, procedures, programs, and strategies to enhance performance, service level, and cost‑per‑piece
  • Maintains a high level of productivity and quality of all aspects of outbound area
  • Prepares departmental budget and controls expenditures against approved budget
  • Administers policies/procedures in a fair and consistent manner
  • Professionally addresses issues with employees utilizing the proper resources
  • Develops and leads a supervisory staff with an emphasis on team building, communication, performance accountability, and positive employee relations
  • Sets clear goals for the department and delivers on set goals
  • Promotes and reinforces safety and security awareness and compliance among the supervisory staff and hourly employees
  • Ensures maximum utilization of manpower and equipment
  • Utilizes performance reports on a regular basis to achieve metrics and establish action plans for continuous improvement
  • Demonstrates a commitment to CVS Heart at Work Behaviors
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the operations manager
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of management experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years working with Engineering Work Standards (EWS)
  • Previous knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in both receiving and shipping
  • Experience leading a high‑volume distribution center
  • Background in Six Sigma production techniques
  • Bilingual preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree
Education

Verifiable High School diploma or GED is required.

Pay Range

Typical pay range: $60,300.00 - $

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full‑time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. The position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short‑term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
