VALUE ADDED QA TECHNICIAN 2ND SHIFT

Monitor the implementation of food safety and quality procedures on the floor, report deficiencies and correct them. Other duties as assigned.

• Monitor SOPs, SSOPs, and GMP compliance of associates, perform HACCP procedures to comply with federal regulations.
• Work with USDA and present records to them at the agency’s request.
• Review records to ensure accuracy and be held accountable to their accuracy.
• Aid QA supervisor and management in gathering data for investigations.
• Work closely with production associates in monitoring meat product for specifications, and correcting specification deficiencies.
• Work closely with production associates in monitoring product packaging and labeling, and correcting any deficiencies.
• Audit inbound product and fill out reports with findings.
• Print inserts or labels, being held accountable for label information accuracy.
• Assist in other duties as needed.

• Problem solving skills.
• Able to work in an independent environment.
• Experience in a manufacturing or food processing environment preferred.
• Reliable.
• Attention to detail.
• Able to work Monday through Friday, and occasional weekends when needed.
• Comfortable working in a cold environment.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to work first shift (4:30 am‑2:30 pm) and second shift (2:30 pm‑12:30 am), occasionally overtime the last day of the week.
