- Clean all the molds and machines in your area
- Grease the molds and carriers on the molds
- Perform mold change‑overs
- Clean all excess residue that may come in contact with the parts
- Change cavities and cores that have been damaged
- Spray the parts that are blocked off with silicone
- Pay close attention to alarms on presses, whether the pressers are with or without parameters
- Look at Lexan and shielding to assure that parts aren’t getting out off into stacking equipment
- Report any oil leaks to maintenance
- Assist operators with any problems that arise (i.e. stacker jams, belts off)
- Assist mold technicians in different areas
- Perform adjustments to molding machines to optimize the cycle and to make good quality parts
- Work with the quality control department on any quality problems
- Fill out mold books and down time sheets
- Assist with color changes
- Assist with material changes
- Report any safety problems or concerns to your supervisor
- Follow all good manufacturing practices (GMP’s) and (HACCP) Practices.
- Any other duties as assigned by supervisor or department manager
- Must know the “Quality Policy” and apply it to working practices.
- Must be able to work in a team environment and help others as needed.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education And/or ExperienceHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED), and three to five years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language SkillsAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively with other employees of organization.
Mathematical SkillsAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, and decimals.
Reasoning AbilityAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables.
Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee frequently is required to walk, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms, speak and listen. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
