Graham Packaging Company is looking for an Industrial Electrician based in Tolleson, AZ. This opening is for a day shift position, which operates during the hours of 6a-2p.
Responsibilities- Understands, follows and enforces all established safety, health, quality GMP and Company policies, procedures and recognized practices.
- Focus on producing quality product by monitoring quality levels and adjusting the manufacturing processes to ensure product integrity.
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.
- Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fibre‑optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical components.
- Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance.
- Maintain, repair, install and test switch gear, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators and reactors.
- Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems.
- Troubleshoot, maintain and repair industrial, electrical and electronic control systems and other related devices.
- Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep accurate maintenance records.
- May install, maintain and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices as required.
- Assist and train production employees in proper operation and maintenance of machinery.
- Limited travel may be required.
Two‑year Associate Degree in an electrical related field is a plus. A minimum of five years industrial maintenance electrician experience preferred.
Requirements- Ability to maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendance.
- Computer usage and typing skills are essential.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
- Communicates effectively: conveys facts and information clearly both verbally and orally.
- Collaborates well with others: proactively contributes to group objectives; volunteers to help others.
The expected salary range for the position described in this posting is made in accordance with the legal mandates of certain jurisdictions within the United States. The final agreed‑upon compensation is based on individual qualifications and experience.
