Job Summary
The Quality Control Manager (QCM) is responsible for implementing and maintaining the quality control plan and is responsible for the overall quality control for the project. The QCM will have the critical task of ensuring each construction project meets the meticulous standards of excellence that Richard Group embodies.
The individual holding this position is required to report to a project site five days a week. It is expected that the individual lives within proximity of the project location or the surrounding areas. Richard Group offers a housing allowance to cover the cost of living if a candidate must relocate. Our projects typically range from 1 – 3 years in length.

The ideal candidate will have flexibility and interest in being assigned to other project locations throughout the United States after your initial assignment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the construction sections of the project quality control plan (including the three phases of quality control) in compliance with Federal, DoD, and Navy requirements.
- Direct and approve the correction of any non-conforming or unsafe construction work performed under the contract.
- Monitor and approve the quality of materials, plans, surveys, fabrication, as-built drawings, and other construction-related work to ensure compliance with specifications, workmanship standards, and contract requirements.
- Review project plans for quality requirements.
- Plan and organize quality processes such as work planning, pre-activity meetings, material management, incident reports and corrective actions.
- Direct inspections, testing and documentation.
- Maintain relationships with owners, clients, and subcontractors.
- Maintain appropriate documentation throughout the project including change order logs, RFI logs, and submittal logs.
- Ensure timely and safe completion of projects in accordance with safety goals, while adhering to contract documents and project budgets.
Minimum Qualifications
- 10+ years’ experience with a federal general contracting company
- CQCM certified and has administered the three phases of quality control on multiple projects.
- A thorough understanding of construction materials, means, methods, and building systems.
- Experience in federal sector projects.
