Legent Health is looking for RN-OR Circulator to join our team. We seek talented partners transforming healthcare, one patient at a time.
Minimum Requirements- Graduate of an accredited nursing program and holds a current Registered Nursing license, in good standing with the State licensing board.
- Current and active CPR certification.
- Minimum of three (3) years OR experience.
- Cognitive skills as related to the position.

The Operating Room Circulator Nurse will provide care and support to patients before, during, and after surgery. OR Nurses also assist the surgeon and the surgical team in their tasks.
Position ResponsibilitiesOperating Room Nurses provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of scientific nursing principles. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assessing, planning, and evaluating the nursing care needs of the patient before, during, and after a surgical procedure.
- Providing nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
- Providing comfort and support for pre-operative patients.
- Participating in the care of patients receiving conscious sedation.
- Carrying out physician orders.
- Administering prescribed medications, applying dressings, and monitoring vital signs.
- Assisting physicians during procedures.
- Maintaining aseptic techniques and actively monitoring for breaches in asepsis.
- Coordinating the operating room regarding sterility, cleanliness, and equipment readiness.
- Ensuring proper handling of specimens.
- Serving as the primary coordinator among disciplines for patient care.
- Monitoring, recording, and communicating patient condition using documentation systems.
- Ensuring correct patient and procedure are performed.
- Providing basic bedside care.
- Responding to life-saving situations per nursing standards and protocols.
- Recording all care information accurately and timely.
- Preparing the operating room for procedures.
- Initiating corrective actions based on monitoring equipment.
- Assisting in patient positioning and responding to comfort and safety needs.
- Handling and documenting specimens accurately.
- Monitoring surgical equipment for proper functioning.
- Handling surgical instruments and supplies.
- Assisting physicians directly during surgeries.
- Controlling bleeding and providing wound exposure.
- Suturing patients post-surgery.
- Providing age- and culturally-appropriate care.
- Mentoring new staff members.
- Following Standard Precautions with PPE as required.
