Base pay range$42.00/hr - $45.00/hr
Job SummaryDemonstrate proficient infusion skills. Provides professional nursing care to assigned patients in need of intravenous treatment. Administers intravenous therapeutic treatments as directed by a physician. Determines appropriate venipuncture and/or catheter site. Observes patients' IV treatment and records observations in patient medical records. Provides information to patients and families regarding intravenous treatment and procedures.
Qualifications / Educational Requirements- Be a licensed nurse, with a current license.
- Minimum of one year of infusion nursing experience.
- Work positively and favorably with patients, families, and staff.
- Perform the infusion therapy as directed by physician orders.
- Establish intravenous access per policy and procedure.
- Observe, assess, and document symptoms via nurse's note timely.
- Monitor reactions and patient progress.
- Educate patients and and/or caregivers on disease processes, medications, side effects/risks.
- Schedule follow up appointment for next therapy.
- Notify the physician and other personnel (CEO) of change in the patient’s condition.
- Perform skill outline in the agency’s approved policy and procedure manual.
- Update clinical records according to policy and procedures.
- Update knowledge and skills by attending in-service programs, continuing education programs, seminars, and self-study programs annually.

- Adhere to safe nursing practice standards.
- Maintain professionalism with patient and client staff.
- Obtain satisfaction surveys from patients prn.
- Collect co-pays as required.
- Call no-show patients prn.
- Be knowledgeable about medications to be administered. Reference RxTool Kit.
- Mix medication per policy and procedure (never before patient arrival).
- Adhere to Medicaid and Medicare regulations.
- Perform clinical research.
