Sales Representative at Parkway Family Auto Group
OverviewSells/leases new- and used‑vehicles at dealership gross profit, volume, and customer satisfaction standards.
Essential Duties- Sell/lease and deliver a minimum standard of 8 units per month.
- Follow dealership sales procedure manual at all times.
- Obtain proper identification from customers prior to test drive.
- Use dealership sales control and follow‑up system.
- Exhibit a high level of commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Know and understand federal, state, and local laws governing retail automobile sales.
- Attend product and sales training courses and regularly scheduled sales meetings.
- Ensure the sales manager has an opportunity to meet each customer.
- Turn 100 % of closed deals to the finance and insurance manager, along with properly completed paperwork (insurance information, trade title, etc.).
- Turn 100 % of closed deals to aftermarket for up‑sell opportunities.
- Process paperwork in accordance with established dealership policies.
- Prepare sold vehicles for customer delivery before arrival.
- Introduce customers to service department personnel to emphasize service quality and efficiency.
- Follow up on all post‑delivery items, tag/title work, “we‑owes”, and special requests to meet customer expectations.
- Maintain an owner follow‑up system (e.g., CRM) encouraging repeat and referral business.
- Conduct weekly lot inventory walks during weekly lot duty.
- Accept mentoring advice from managers, other salespeople, and outside sources.
- Follow company attendance reporting requirements, calling in and speaking to your direct supervisor or HR if your supervisor is not available. You may leave a message, but you are responsible for speaking to a live person within 15 minutes of your shift starting.
- Maintain professional appearance and a positive attitude, fostering harmony and teamwork with all departments while having fun.
- These duties may also be assigned.
- Language skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public. - Mathematical skills:
Ability to calculate basic mathematical figures. - Reasoning ability:
Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. - Certificates, licenses, registrations:
Manufacturer Training and Valid Driver’s License.
Walk regularly; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk or hear. Frequently stand, sit, and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally climb or balance. Frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work EnvironmentRegularly exposed to outside weather conditions. Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. Noise level is usually moderate.
