(Diesel Engine Mechanic | Repair Technician | Caterpillar Power Units)

We are now hiring a Diesel Engine Mechanic for our Tomball location. If you’re experienced in working with Caterpillar power units or seeking your next challenge as a Generator Repair Technician, this is your chance to support our growing demand for partners in the oil & gas, oilfield, pipeline, and manufacturing sectors with a trusted industry leader and power your career forward.

As a Diesel & Natural Gas Industrial Engine Technician/Mechanic, you’ll diagnose and perform critical repairs on Caterpillar engines and generator sets, ensuring Mustang Cat equipment keeps powering essential industries.

• Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on diesel and natural gas engines.
• Remove, install, disassemble, and recondition Caterpillar power units and generator sets.
• Conduct system testing, adjustments, and failure analysis.
• Troubleshoot electronic, hydraulic, and fuel system components.
• Deliver quality work in a fast‑paced shop environment.

• Must own tools needed to perform repairs.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s degree or technical school certificate preferred.
• Previous mechanic or military experience.
• Familiarity with Caterpillar power units, generator systems, and fuel systems.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electronic, and engine systems.
• Ability to perform diagnostics, repairs, and technical troubleshooting independently.
