The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.
Responsibilities- Under the direct supervision of the Director, Cancer Center at Community Medical Center, the Coordinator of oncology data services is responsible for cancer registry oversight.
- Ensure quality and timeliness of case finding, abstraction, and follow-up functions according to departmental procedures and regulatory cancer case reporting guidelines.
- Educate and train staff and case abstraction to support timely submission.
- Assist with cancer program accreditation and monitoring of compliance to accreditation standards.
- Ensure accurate and timely data and/or reports requested by physicians.
- Oversee the reporting of all appropriate cancer cases to state and federal agencies to ensure proper reporting as required.
- Carefully review patient health records to record pertinent patient and tumor-related information as required by state and federal regulations.
- Act as a resource for staff and others as needed.
