- Perform a variety of duties involved in the maintenance of electrical and electronic equipment such as replacing motors or brushes, overhauling relays, circuit breakers, and electric power tools, greasing and oiling motors, and replacing defective tubes and modules on electronic controls and equipment, lights and fuses.
- Bend and install conduit, pull and terminate wires, replace motors and motor starters.
- Install, maintain, repair or rebuild a variety of machines.
- Follow all departmental procedures to ensure quality requirements are met.
- Diagnose trouble, disassemble, and determine extent of repairs necessary.
- Repair, refit or replace worn or defective parts.
- Must be available for off‑shift work when emergency repairs or snow removal are necessary.
- Make ordinary replacement parts, select materials, plan and perform difficult machining operations on replacement parts, skilled fitting of bearings, spindles, etc.
- Perform a wide variety of routine to complex plant maintenance operations, including building repairs, electrical work and plumbing.
- Monitor building and production equipment, develop, and carry out preventative maintenance plans as necessary.
- Other duties may be assigned.

RequirementsEducation and/or
Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
Basic Machine, Electric and Welding Certificates and 1 year of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
