Per Diem Registered Nurse – PACU

Toms River Surgery Center is hiring a per diem RN for the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). We are an accredited facility by the Joint Commission, dedicated to delivering high quality, service‑oriented care for surgical patients.

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients in PACU.
• Continuously evaluate patient condition, ensuring safety, comfort, and privacy.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks such as conscious sedation and sterile techniques as required.
• Deliver comprehensive patient care for patients emerging from general anesthesia or sedation, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Prepare patients and families for discharge.

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state of New Jersey.
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Strong ability to prioritize and organize workload to meet patient and unit needs.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

$43.00/hr – $48.96/hr (wages based on qualifications and experience).
