RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Registered Nurse for the Kimball North East department at the Barnabas Health Behavioral Health Center. The Behavioral Health Center is a 100‑bed acute care psychiatric facility providing inpatient and intensive outpatient programs for adults and older adults diagnosed with psychiatric and dual disorders.

Registered Nurses assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for psychiatric patients in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act for the State of New Jersey and the policies and procedures of the Barnabas Health Behavioral Health Center.

• Provide nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards.
• Assure safety in practice and apply evidence‑based practice principles.
• Report identified safety issues such as hazardous environments and medical errors.
• Maintain knowledge of the patient population served.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to appropriate team members and collaborate with other patient care providers.
• Set and evaluate priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement.
• Act as an individual practitioner and interdisciplinary team manager, utilizing the nursing process to individualize care plans.

• Required: ASN or Nursing Diploma, strong communication and organizational skills, proficient computer skills.
• Certifications and Licenses: BLS certification, Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License.
• Preferred: BSN. Minimum two (2) years’ experience in an inpatient setting. One (1) year experience in a psychiatric/chemical dependency field.
