RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse for the Short Term Care department at the Barnabas Health Behavioral Health Center.

The Barnabas Health Behavioral Health Center (with Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus Behavioral Health Services) constitutes a freestanding 100-bed acute care psychiatric facility which provides inpatient and intensive outpatient programs for adults and older adults diagnosed with psychiatric and dual disorders. The LPN is a technical caregiver who administers nursing care under the direct supervision of a registered professional nurse. All methods of practice shall conform to written hospital policies and procedures and be carried out to the highest achievable level of competence in a manner demonstrating concern and consideration.

• Graduated from an accredited program of Practical Nursing
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Proficient computer skills

• Licensed by the New Jersey State Board of Nursing as a Licensed Practical Nurse
• BLS certification
• Maintains required Heart Saver CPR Certification/course completion status

• Prior experience in a behavioral health setting helpful

• Ensuring a safe milieu through safety rounds and 1:1 observation
