Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to join our team at Skilled Nursing Facility in Toms River, NJ. As a key member of our leadership team, the DON will play a vital role in overseeing the daily operations of our nursing department and ensuring the highest level of quality care for our residents. Responsibilities- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the nursing department, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and facility policies
- Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans and programs to improve quality of care and patient outcomes
- Foster a positive and respectful work environment, promoting open communication and team collaboration among nursing staff
- Provide clinical guidance and support to nurses and other healthcare professionals, addressing any questions or concerns they may have
- Participate in budget planning and development, ensuring effective allocation of resources to achieve departmental goals
- Collaborate with other facility leaders to develop and implement strategic plans to improve patient care and satisfaction
- Recruit, hire, orient, and evaluate nursing staff, ensuring that the department is adequately staffed and skilled to meet the needs of our residents
- Current New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a nursing leadership role
- Strong knowledge of nursing practices, policies, and procedures
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and responsibilities
