As a Field Service Specialist for HVAC and Refrigeration, you will be the primary technical expert responsible for ensuring the peak performance and reliability of complex climate control systems. Your work directly impacts the operational continuity of our commercial clients by expertly diagnosing, repairing, and optimizing critical heating, cooling, and refrigeration infrastructure.
About the Role
As a Field Service Specialist for HVAC and Refrigeration, you will be the primary technical expert responsible for ensuring the peak performance and reliability of complex climate control systems. Your work directly impacts the operational continuity of our commercial clients by expertly diagnosing, repairing, and optimizing critical heating, cooling, and refrigeration infrastructure.
Responsibilities- Execute complex repairs and preventative maintenance on commercial HVAC/R equipment, including RTUs, boilers, and split systems, to minimize client downtime.
- Analyze and resolve intricate electrical, mechanical, and control system malfunctions to restore system integrity.
- Manage the full lifecycle of equipment service, from initial diagnostic assessment to final installation and system commissioning.
- Provide expert technical recommendations to clients regarding equipment longevity, efficiency upgrades, and necessary repairs.
- Document all service activities, parts usage, and site conditions through detailed electronic reporting to ensure accurate maintenance history.
- Uphold the highest standards of safety and professional conduct while operating company-provided service vehicles and specialized tools.
- Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in commercial HVAC/R service and maintenance.
- Current EPA Universal Certification.
- Proven expertise in electrical troubleshooting, control systems, and refrigeration cycle diagnostics.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and the ability to work independently in the field.
- Physical capability to perform tasks involving ladder work, rooftop access, and heavy equipment handling in diverse weather conditions.
- Completion of an accredited HVAC technical training program or equivalent apprenticeship.
- Advanced knowledge of building automation systems and energy management controls.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multi-site service calls efficiently.
