School Social Worker, Crisis Counselor

With a 32.5-hour workweek and a CST caseload, you'll play a critical role in supporting students' emotional, social, and academic well-being throughout the school year.

Qualifications:
- Current NJ SSW License required
- Previous school-based social work experience strongly preferred
- In-depth understanding of CST (Child Study Team) processes and special education protocols
- Exceptional communication skills to build rapport with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Compassion and adaptability, with a commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive school environment
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support and intervention services to students as part of the Child Study Team
- Complete comprehensive social assessments and maintain accurate documentation
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and community resources to address students needs
- Participate in IEP meetings, implementing best practices for social, emotional, and behavioral support
- Deliver crisis intervention and counseling, as needed, to encourage student success and resilience
- Serve as a liaison between school, home, and outside agencies, advocating for student welfare
