Accounts Senior - Tonbridge Ready to take ownership of a varied client portfolio and play a key role within a growing accountancy team? A fantastic opportunity has become available for an experienced Accounts Senior to join a progressive and expanding accountancy practice in Tonbridge. This position would suit a practice professional who enjoys working closely with clients, preparing statutory accounts and tax returns, and supporting the development of junior team members.

The successful Accounts Senior will be joining a friendly, collaborative team with genuine opportunities for long-term career progression.About the role As an Accounts Senior, responsibilities will include:

Preparing year-end statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders
Preparing corporation tax returns and supporting tax computations
Preparing self-assessment tax returns
Managing a portfolio of clients across a variety of sectors
Reviewing bookkeeping and VAT work completed by junior team members
Preparing management accounts where required
Liaising directly with clients to provide advice and resolve queries
Assisting clients with accounting software and cloud accounting systems
Supporting and mentoring junior members of the accounts team
Identifying opportunities to improve client processes and efficiencies
Ensuring compliance deadlines are met
Building and maintaining strong client relationships

This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of client work while developing leadership and management skills.What we are looking for

Previous experience working within an accountancy practice environment
Strong experience preparing year-end accounts and tax returns
AAT qualified, ACA/ACCA part-qualified or qualified by experience
Good technical accounting knowledge
Strong client communication skills
Ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively
High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
Positive, professional and proactive approach
Desire to progress within a growing firm
