Part Time Senior Practice Accountant

TPF Recruitment Kents leading accountancy practice recruitment agency is supporting an excellent chartered accountancy practice based in Paddock Wood who are looking for a Part Time Senior Practice Accountant to join their experienced team in a general practice capacity primarily focused on statutory accounts and corporate tax returns but there will be an opportunity to support with some self assessment tax work and some more interesting management accounts work too shoudl you wish.

As a Senior Practice Accountant you will report directly into the Manager and be responsible for a mixed client portfolio made up of small business owners through to multi million pound groups. You will be based in an amazing office in a rural location in Paddock Wood and also have the opportunity for hybrid working and flexible working hours. Full time or part time applicants will be considered.

You will be responsible for:

• Prepare and review annual statutory accounts and corporation tax returns.
• Opportunity prepare and review monthly and quarterly accounts and VAT returns.
• Managing your client portfolio and client relations.
• Oversee and review the work of more junior staff and bookkeepers.
• Onboard new clients and assist the partners with ad-hoc consulting and systems implementation work as required.

Part Time Senior Practice Accountant Paddock Wood

• You will be qualified or studying ACA/ACCA or qualified by experience with at least 3-5 years experience within practice.
• You will have worked as a Semi Senior or Senior Accountant within a practice environment and have hands on experience of accounts ideally management accounts tax and VAT.

• 35000 - 50000 based on experience
• 3-4 days per week or equivalent hours

Required Skills:

Preferably qualified ACA/ACCA or by experience. 5-10 years experience within an accountancy practice experience. Experience preparing accounts and tax returns. Experience of Quick Books Xero or Sage would be advantageous.
