Repairs Planner

Location: Tonbridge
Contract: Temporary - 6 months
Rate: 17.93 per hour Umbrella
Hours: Full-time, office based

The Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Repairs Planner to join a busy housing/property services team based in Tonbridge on an initial 6-month temporary contract.

You will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling repairs and maintenance works, ensuring jobs are allocated efficiently to the appropriate operatives and completed within agreed timescales.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and schedule responsive repairs and maintenance works.
  • Allocate jobs to operatives and contractors based on location, skills and availability.
  • Manage diaries and workloads to ensure appointments are met.
  • Liaise with tenants, residents, operatives and contractors to arrange and confirm appointments.
  • Monitor outstanding repairs and follow up on delayed or incomplete works.
  • Deal with queries and resolve scheduling issues quickly and effectively.
  • Update internal systems accurately with job and appointment information.
  • Prioritise urgent and emergency repairs appropriately.
  • Work closely with the wider repairs and housing teams to ensure a smooth service.
  • Ensure all works are scheduled in line with relevant policies, procedures and service standards.
About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience working as a Repairs Planner, Repairs Scheduler, Maintenance Coordinator or similar.
  • Experience with in social housing, housing maintenance or property services.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal confidently with residents and contractors.
  • Good attention to detail and the ability to manage a busy workload.
  • Experience using repairs management or scheduling systems.
  • The ability to prioritise competing demands and work effectively under pressure.
