Freelance Assistant Site Manager - New Build Housing Blackburn, Lancashire Freelance / Contract Role Competitive Day Rate (DOE) We are currently seeking an experienced Freelance Assistant Site Manager to support the delivery of a new build residential development in Blackburn. The successful candidate will assist in managing the site to ensure homes are built safely, on programme, and in full compliance with NHBC standards.

The Role As Freelance Assistant Site Manager, you will support the Site Manager in the day-to-day running of a live housing site. You will play a key role in maintaining health & safety standards, overseeing subcontractors, monitoring build quality, and preparing plots for NHBC inspections and handovers. You will be hands-on, proactive, and confident in managing trades to ensure programme targets and quality expectations are met.

Key Responsibilities Support the Site Manager in daily site operations Ensure works are carried out in line with NHBC standards and Building Regulations Monitor subcontractor performance and workmanship Maintain high health & safety standards across site Conduct plot inspections and quality checks Assist with coordinating NHBC inspections Manage snagging and remedial works Help drive programme and ensure key milestones are achieved Maintain site records and documentation Requirements Proven experience on new build housing developments Good understanding of NHBC standards and inspection processes Valid SMSTS or SSSTS CSCS Card (Supervisor/Manager level) First Aid at Work Strong organisational and communication skills Ability to work independently and support senior management effectively What's on Offer Competitive freelance day rate (DOE) Immediate start available Opportunity for ongoing contract work Work on a well-managed residential development If you are a motivated Assistant Site Manager with new build housing experience and strong knowledge of NHBC standards, we would love to hear from you.
