About the Role
As part of our in-house Instructor team, you’ll play a key role in delivering our library of CITB Site Safety Plus and IOSH Health & Safety training courses at our Tonbridge and Ashford training centres, and occasionally at client sites across the south of England.
You’ll join a close-knit team of friendly and like-minded instructors with a dedicated support team based at our Tonbridge headquarters. You’ll also have clear avenues for career growth and professional development.

Amongst other areas, you’ll be responsible for delivering:
- CITB Site Manager Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) Courses
- CITB Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) Courses
- CITB Health & Safety Awareness (HSA) Courses
- CITB Achieving Behavioural Change (ABC) Courses
- IOSH Working Safely Courses
- IOSH Managing Safely Courses
This list is not exhaustive. You may be required to support additional projects and assist colleagues as needed to meet the evolving requirements of the business.

Necessary QualificationsTo be considered for this role, please ensure that you hold any one or more of these qualifications:
- Health and Safety Management for Construction (UK), formerly known as the NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Safety and Health.
- NVQ Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety
- NEBOSH Level 6 National Diploma for Occupational Health and Safety Management Professionals
- CITB Site Safety Plus (Approved Tutor Certificate)
- Level 3 Award in Education & Training (AET) or equivalent
The following experience & skills will go a long way in our consideration for you for the role:
- Evidence of at least 3 to 5 years of occupational experience in construction, civil engineering, or a health & safety-focused management role
- Proven track record in delivering accredited training courses, ideally within CITB, IOSH, or similar regulatory frameworks
- Strong understanding of the CDM Regulations, risk management principles, and modern safety management systems
- Experience working with diverse teams, contractors, and stakeholders across various site environments
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development with an up-to-date CPD
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex topics clearly and engagingly
- Confident facilitation and classroom management abilities
- Strong IT and written communication skills, including report writing and digital course delivery
- Ability to assess learner competency, manage varied learning styles, and provide constructive feedback
- High levels of self-management, organisation, and professionalism
- A proactive approach to continuous improvement and maintaining high training standards
- Full, clean driving licence and willingness to travel between training locations
