GSL Education are seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide focused support to a student with a high level of need at a welcoming and forward‑thinking secondary school in Tonbridge. Role Overview

The position involves working 1:1 with a young male student who has recently moved to the area and requires high-level personalised support. Due to specific safeguarding considerations, there is a genuine occupational requirement for a male Teaching Assistant (TA) for this role.

You will:

Provide consistent 1:1 support throughout the school day
Build a positive, trusting relationship to support emotional and academic development
Assist with managing behaviour and maintaining engagement
Adapt learning activities to meet the student’s individual needs
Work closely with class teachers, SEN staff, and pastoral teams
Requirements for 1:1 Teaching Assistant

Previous 1:1 experience is essential
Available 5 days a week (start Monday 9th February)
Fully compliant with all safer‑recruitment checks
Strong communication and behaviour‑support skills
Commitment to safeguarding and student welfare
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
