Teacher Active work in partnership with the local authority to support young people who are currently out of education for wide variety of reasons or needs.

We are currently recruiting for a tutor to support a child of primary age, who is working below her expected levels. The young person is a selective mute, has high levels of anxiety and speech and language needs.

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate tutor to support this young person and the family in the Tonbridge area. You will have experience in tutoring 1:1, in particular within the SEND needs described above and having experience of supporting a young person with an EHCP, ongoing health conditions, and developing needs.

The Tuition Role:

One-to-one tuition in the young person’s home
Support a learner through personalised learning plans
Deliver specific tuition and beyond where applicable
Build trust and confidence in a safe, supportive learning environment
Key Details for this Tutor:

Flexible, temporary work based on the learner’s individual needs
Hourly pay – funded support provision
Ongoing Tutor referrals available in Tonbridge
Ideal Candidate for this Tutor position:

Experienced in working with SEND, SEMH, or dis-engaged/anxious learners
Confident delivering lessons independently and adapting to varied needs
Patient, empathetic, caring and resilient
Able to travel locally for face-to-face tuition
