Salary: £88.94 – £95 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education are seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to work in schools across Tonbridge starting as soon as possible.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA), you will work closely with teachers and SEN staff to provide personalised support, helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and achieve their potential. We welcome applications from candidates with transferable experience in healthcare, nurseries, or activity leadership, who have the skills and enthusiasm to support students with additional needs in an educational setting.
Main Responsibilities of an SEN Teaching Assistant:
Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with Special Educational Needs
Assist the class teacher in adapting learning materials and activities to meet individual needs
Support pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural development
Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Assist with behaviour management in line with school policies
Encourage student independence and participation in classroom activities
Support students with communication and interaction needs
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff
SEN TA Requirements:
Experience working with children or adults with SEN is essential
Experience in healthcare, nursery settings, or activity leadership will be considered
A patient, caring, and proactive approach to supporting learners
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
