At Academics, we're looking for an experienced SEN TA to join one of our fantastic schools in Tonbridge on a full-time, long-term basis.

This is more than just a job, it's an opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs. You'll play a key role in helping pupils build confidence, overcome barriers to learning and celebrate every achievement, no matter how big or small.

Whether you're an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant or have transferable skills from care, youth work, support work or experience studying psychology we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

Support pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups, helping them to engage with learning and reach their full potential.
Work alongside teachers to deliver creative and inclusive learning activities.
Support children with a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, Speech & Language needs and learning difficulties.
Adapt resources and learning strategies to meet individual needs.
Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour through patience and consistency.
Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, teachers and families.
Support with personal care or specialist equipment where required.

What We're Looking For

Experience working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs is desirable.
A caring, patient and resilient attitude with a genuine passion for supporting children.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
