Position: Teaching Assistant/Higher Level Teaching Assistant - Part-time

TA: 13 Hours per week Monday to Friday;
Kent Scheme KSA FTE £24,520 pa

HLTA: 19.5 hours per week Monday to Friday;
Kent Scheme KSD; FTE £26,393 pa

Contract type

Fixed term until 31.12.26 (to be re‑assessed for extension); term time only (38 weeks per year)

About the role

To be a member of a multi-disciplinary team, under the leadership and supervision of the teacher/senior staff: work with individuals/groups to support the learning and physical/general care of pupils; enable access to learning for pupils and assist the teacher in the support of pupils and the classroom.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate TA/HLTA to join our Specialist Resource Provision (SRP) at the Phoenix Centre, supporting pupils with special educational needs. You will work closely with teaching staff to deliver tailored support, promote independence, and help pupils access learning in a safe and inclusive environment. The role involves assisting with personalised learning activities, supporting communication and social development, and ensuring each child’s wellbeing and progress are at the heart of everything you do.
