Whether you're already working in education or an experienced industry professional looking for a new career path, we have an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified, experienced and passionate individual to join the team as Lecturer in Countryside & Habitat Management.

Using your industry knowledge to unlock potential, you'll support learners to develop their practical skills and professional standards in real countryside locations. You will plan and deliver effective lessons, assess progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement and progression for all students.

You’ll have specialist knowledge of the curriculum area, which may be enhanced by any relevant industry / professional experience, and ideally a formal qualification that underpins this knowledge. Experience of working or teaching Countryside Management, Environmental Science and / or Fisheries would be useful but not essential.

We need you to be a team player and an excellent communicator, able to maintain a proactive approach and an eye for detail whilst working to challenging curriculum deadlines.

Teaching experience, particularly within Further Education, would be advantageous but isn't essential. Likewise, although a full teaching qualification (at Level 5 or above) isn't required at this stage. Those joining the team without a teaching qualification can undertake the Level 5 Teaching & Learning Apprenticeship which will form part of your employment with the college and is completed over an 18-month period.

You would need to secure this within 3-years of your appointment.

This role is based at the NKC Hadlow College campus.

37 hours per week (Monday to Friday), 52 weeks per annum.

£38,049 to 45,445 per annum, dependent on qualifications and experience.
