Overview

The Flavour Network are looking for a Supply Chain Controller to join a well-established food processing business operating in Spalding. This is a key commercial role supporting customers and operational teams to ensure the smooth and efficient running of supply chain activity.

As Supply Chain Controller, you will act as a central link between customers, operational managers, matching customer requirements with operational capability and ensuring seamless planning from intake through to despatch. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong analytical skills, commercial awareness and supply chain experience looking to play a vital role within a dynamic business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Match customer requirements with operational capacity across packhouse, warehouse and raw material arrivals
  • Plan business activity in line with capacity and customer demand
  • Process orders and release stock to production in a timely manner
  • Review orders against forecast and adjust forward stock positions (roll stocks)
  • Use customer portals and data to plan forward requirements
  • Translate customer demand into weekly grower programmes
  • Manage raw material arrivals, raise purchase orders and provide data for customs entries (EU products)
  • Conduct daily raw material stock reconciliation and resolve discrepancies
  • Ensure effective stock control and rotation
  • Identify and resolve operational issues and manage communication around schedule disruptions
  • Work closely with Production, Commercial and Technical teams to maintain 100% service levels
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies including Health & Safety, Hygiene and Equality policies
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a supply chain, planning or fresh produce environment preferred.
  • Strong communication, influencing and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build effective relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to balance customer demand and operational limitations
  • Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills

    Ability to prioritise workload effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills
  • Team player with a collaborative and values-driven approach
