Job Description Our client a Fresh Produce company has an opportunity for an experienced Supply Chain Coordinator to join their team in Kent. The Supply Chain Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring customer orders are fulfilled and stock used in the most efficient way and to provide support to the commercial team regarding the various stages of the Supply Chain. Participating in continual improvement projects that will help drive success in commercial and operational functions.

The job may have a combination of the accountabilities or may focus on one area of the Supply Chain. Supply Chain is the companies Air Traffic Control Tower, where you will be the crucial link between the commercial and operational teams, making and adjusting plans to match stock to production plans and customer demand. Liaising with Sales, Procurement, Technical and Operations, this is a great opportunity to see all aspects of the cut and thrust of the day to day business.

The Supply Chain Coordinator:

  • High attention to detail, with the ability to self organise and prioritise daily tasks, under time pressure.
  • Problem solving skills to balance customer requirements with operational limitations and, where needed, offer alternative solutions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of the team
  • Ability to build rapport with customers through good understanding of the stock position and ability to anticipate risks and opportunities.
  • Able to carry out detailed analysis and present in a way that is easily understood throughout the business.
  • Strong organisational skills, time management, self motivation and organisation are also essential qualities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

The successful candidate must be from and have experience within the Fresh Produce industry and in particular Stone Fruit. A second European will be an advantage. If you are someone to enhance your knowledge this could be the next exciting step in your career.
