Registered Manager – Birmingham – Up to £43,000 per annum – Full Time | Permanent

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead a residential care and supported living service supporting adults with complex needs, including autism, mental health needs, learning disabilities, and physical or sensory disabilities. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated leader who is passionate about delivering high‑quality, person‑centred care while developing strong teams and driving service improvement. As Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the operational leadership, compliance, quality, and performance of the service, ensuring the people supported receive safe, effective, and outcome‑focused care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the day‑to‑day running and overall performance of the service
  • Manage and develop Deputy Managers, Team Leaders, and Support Workers
  • Ensure high standards of person‑centred care, safeguarding, and compliance
  • Oversee care plans, risk assessments, medication systems, and service documentation
  • Manage staffing rotas, recruitment, onboarding, supervisions, and appraisals
  • Maintain safe staffing levels and strong operational performance
  • Manage budgets and ensure effective financial oversight
  • Lead audits, quality assurance processes, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Build strong relationships with families, commissioners, local authorities, and healthcare professionals
  • Oversee incidents, safeguarding concerns, complaints, and regulatory notifications
  • Participate in on‑call duties and provide leadership support during emergencies when required
About You
  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager, Deputy Manager, or senior leadership professional within adult social care
  • Experience supporting adults with complex needs
  • Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding, and quality standards
  • Experience managing teams, staffing rotas, budgets, and service performance
  • Confidence leading audits, KPIs, and service improvement plans
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • A calm, resilient, and person‑centred approach
  • Level 5 qualification in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards)
  • Full‑time role, primarily Monday to Friday, with flexibility required to support the operational needs of the service, including occasional evenings, weekends, and on‑call responsibilities
